Hi, I'm Troy
I am a 28 year old teacher and soccer coach living in Atlanta, Georgia. I started this blog to document my journey as I adjust to becoming a domesticated man. This blog (primarily based from my perspective) is where I will share the triumphs and struggles I come across while I am trying to start a family. I am married to an amazing woman and together we're going through a lot of "firsts" as we begin our lives together. We recently became homeowners and we are both coming to the realization that maintaining a household isn't quite as easy as our parents made it look. Erin and I's fathers were both studs; they could grill well, fix/build anything, and they did an amazing job raising us. Myself on the other hand can not cook very well, I'm not very handy, and I have absolutely no idea of what all it takes to be the kind of dad that my father was to me. I do plan on doing my best to learn as I go though! My hobbies include soccer, warm weather, reminding Erin that she is older than me, traveling, maintaining a killer dad bod, and criticizing the t.v. shows that Erin makes me watch. Long gone are the days of binge drinking with my college bros four nights out of the week. Now it's all about turning my house into a home and growing my family one fur baby or real baby at a time.
